Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,

Q: Who is Allah?

A: He is the Almighty Allah.

No God has the right to be worshipped but He.

He is the Knower of the Seen and the Unseen.

The Most Merciful, The Most Kind.

He is the Almighty Allah.

No God has the right to be worshipped but Allah.

He is the King, the King of all kings.

He is the Pure.

He is the Holy, free from defects.

He is the Watcher over His subjects.

He is the Giver of peace.

He is the Giver of security.

He is the Almighty Allah.

He is the Compeller.

He is the Supreme.

Glory is to Allah.

Allah is high and above all those that they associate as partners with Him.

He is the Almighty Allah.

He is the Creator.

He is the Maker.

He is the Fashioner.

He is the Bestower and the Giver of forms.

To Allah belong the beautiful names.

And all those within the Heavens and the Earth glorify the Almighty Allah and recognise His greatness.

He is the Almighty and He is the All Wise.

When a child is born, the first words that the child hears when he enters this world; the first message that is conveyed to a child; the first message that is instilled and inscribed on his heart and mind is Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar.

Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest.

When this child grows everyday from cradle to grave, this child is reminded of one message.

The caller calls out; The Muazzin calls outs Allahu Akbar.

Oh Insaan, remember Allah is the greatest and greatness is for Allah.

Oh Insaan, respond and acknowledge that Allah is the greatest and greatness is for Allah.

Oh Insaan, look around you. Every single thing within the Heavens and the Earth, every SINGLE thing within the Universe, it testifies and bears witness to this fact and it will remind you that Allah is the greatest and greatness belongs to the Almighty Allah alone.

Look at the creation of man. When you ponder over the creation of man, when you look at the eyes with which he sees. When you look at the ears with which he hears. When you look at the nose with which he smells. When you look at the tongue with which he tastes. When you look at the hands with which he grabs and touches, and the head with which he thinks; then you will realise that the greatness is for the Allah Almighty.

When you look at something so simple as the rose, have you ever pondered? You will see this in every garden, yet this rose never stinks. This rose grows in filth, it grows in soil and is fed manure; manure stinks. It grows in an environment of dust and dirt yet this rose never stinks. When you ponder over this you will realise that the greatness is only for the Almighty Allah.

When you look at the spiders web, then you look at man; you look at the intelligence of man and you look at his technology, you look at his advancements, you look at the tools he possesses yet he cannot be equal and make something as simple as a spiders web. Then you know that the greatness is for the Almighty Allah.

When you look at the silk worm. When you look at the bee. When you look at a goat. When you look at a deer, and you realise that all these four animals, all these four things eat from the same leaf; they eat from the mulberry. The leaf is exactly one, the colour is the same, the fragrance is the same, yet the first one eating this produces silk, the second one eating this produces honey, the third one eating this gives meat and milk, whilst the fourth one eating this gives musk. When you ponder over this then you realise that greatness is for the Almighty Allah.

When you look above you and you look at these creations from the Almighty Allah; the sun, the moon, the stars, and you ponder over this. Never does the sun go past the moon and never does the night outsit the day. When you ponder over this then you realise that greatness is for Almighty Allah.

When you look at the stars and trees, and you realise that even these stars and trees prostrate before the Master, they prostrate before the Almighty Allah.

And even these great Heavens above, even they are afraid of the Almighty Allah. When you ponder over this, then you realise that greatness is for Almighty Allah.

When you ponder over the verses of the Quran and you realise that He provides for every fish and animal in the ocean. He provides for every bird in the sky, and He provides for every creature on land, small or big. Then you realise that greatness is for Almighty Allah.

When you look at this great Heavens above you. The size of which your mind and my mind cannot comprehend. Allahu Akbar. Then you look around you, and there is not a single thing, not a single pillar holding the Heaven. When you ponder over this then you realise that greatness is for Almighty Allah.

When you ponder over the verses of the Quran that He has let forth two seas. One sea of salty water and the other of sweet water, and these seas meet together. The salty water doesn’t cross over the sweet side, and the sweet water doesn’t cross over to the salty side. When you ponder over this then you know that the greatness is for Almighty Allah.

Look in the Book of Allah and keep reciting the verses of the Quran. If every tree on this Earth was to become a pen and all the oceans on the Earth were to become ink, the oceans would be exhausted. They would come to an end. But the words of Allah would never come to an end. When you realise this you know that greatness is for Almighty Allah.

When you realise how Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) heard Sayyiduna Hazrat Younas (عليه السلام) right from the seabed in the darkness of the ocean, in the darkness of the night, in the stomach of the fish. And the Almighty Allah also hears us and responds. When you ponder over this then you know that greatness is for Almighty Allah.

When you ponder over the story of Sayyiduna Ibrahim (عليه السلام). How Ibrahim (عليه السلام) took four birds and slaughtered them, and cuts these birds into pieces. He took this meat and put it onto different mountains and kept the heads under his feet, calling them in the name of Allah. These pieces of meat got together and these birds without their heads came walking to his feet. They took their own heads and placed them on their shoulders. When you ponder over this then you know that greatness is for Allah Almighty.

When you look at the niagra falls and how it looks like a mountain of water, and when you ponder over how the sea parted and gave way to the likes of Sayyiduna Musa (عليه السلام) and the Bani Israeel; how it became two mountains of water on each side, one on each side. According to the Tawaab, six hundred thousand people made this crossing. Who was holding that water? Mountains of water? When you ponder over this then you know that greatness is for Almighty Allah who is Awwal and Akhir.

He is the Almighty Allah.

He is the first, there is nothing before Him.

He is the last, there is nothing after Him.

He is the All-High, there is nothing above Him.

He is the most near, there is nothing more near than Him.

He is the Knower of all things.

Ponder over the knowledge of Allah and Khuda Kassam, here and now you will start to prostrate before the Master.

There is not a single leaf that falls, whether this leaf is in the darkness of the amazon, whether this leaf is in the thickness of the jungle, whether this leaf falls from a tree that’s on the peak of some mountain. Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) knows the colour of that leaf. He knows the size of that leaf. He knows the hour that this leaf fell. He knows the second that this leaf touches the ground.

There is not even a grain in the darkness of this Earth that is not in the knowledge of Allah.

Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) knows what every female bears. By how much these wombs fall short or exceed. Everything with Allah is with a due proportion. He is the Knower of the seen and unseen. The most great, the most high.

It is equal to Him whether one of you conceals his speech or whether one of you declares it openly, or whether one of you was hidden by the night or open by day. Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) knows it all.

Oh Insaan, even if there is something equal to the weight of the mustard seed and then there’s a thing that’s inside of a rock or is inside somewhere in the Heavens or the Earth, Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) knows of this thing and He will bring it forth on the day of judgement.

Why? Because nothing can stay hidden from Him. Even if it is equal to the weight of an atom, or it is smaller than this. Nothing can stay hidden from Him. Why? Because Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) knows what enters the Earth and what comes out of the Earth.

He knows what descends from the Heavens. He knows what ascends to the Heavens. Never mind this. You sit here before me and you think you know yourself, but the Almighty Allah knows you better than yourself. He even knows the fraud of your eyes. You sit here listening to the reminder as I address you and the thoughts that are crossing your mind, the Almighty Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) already knows the thoughts before they even cross your mind. This is the Almighty Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى).When you ponder over the greatness, when you ponder over the knowledge of Almighty Allah, you will bow down in prostration and you will realise that the greatness is for Almighty Allah.

Look at this Earth that you live in. Allahu Akbar. Look at the size of this Earth. Look at the things that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) has created inside this Earth. Ponder over the speed at which this Earth is travelling at this moment in time. You listen to the reminder yet you are firm on this Earth. It has no effect on you when you ponder over this, the speed that its travelling and how it has no effect on those living within it, you realise that the greatness is for Almighty Allah.

Look at the sun above you. It is a sunny day. Ponder over the sun. Look at the size of the sun. Look at the diameter of the sun. Look at the core temperature of the sun. Hundreds of times bigger than this Earth. When you ponder over this, you realise that the greatness is for Almighty Allah.

Then when you ponder over the solar system, ponder over these planets that you learn about in schools. Mercury, Jupiter, Mars, Pluto, Venus. These planets and our solar system is thirty thousand light years away from our galaxy. You realise that the greatness is for Almighty Allah.

After this when someone tells you that there are solar systems bigger than our solar systems, you realise that the greatness is for Almighty Allah. You ponder when you are informed that there are a million of galaxies in the universe. You realise that greatness is for Almighty Allah. When you are informed that you sit here right now, that in this moment time, as you listen to the reminder, that this universe, as it stands, has been expanded by the second. When you ponder over this you know that greatness is for Almighty Allah.

And after this, when somebody tells you after this there are seven Heavens. The distance between the first Heaven and the second Heaven is 500 years. The distance between the second and the third is 500 years. The distance between the third and the fourth is 500 years. The distance between the fourth and fifth is 500 years. Fifth and sixth is 500 years. Sixth and seventh is 500 years. Allahu Akbar. You will then recognise that greatness is for Almighty Allah alone.

And then after this if someone tells you, after this comes the Kursi of Allah. The distance between the seventh Heaven and Kursi is 500 years. And all these Heavens put together in comparison to the Kursi are nothing like a ring in a desert. When you ponder over this you will realise that greatness is for Almighty Allah.

After this if somebody was to tell you that the Arsh of the Almighty Allah comes. The seventh Heavens and the Kursi put together in comparison to the Arsh of Allah are nothing. When you ponder over this, then you realise that greatness is for Almighty Allah. If somebody tells you that after this, there are Angels carrying the Arsh of Allah and such is the state of these Angels. Their heads are above the seventh Heavens and their feet are firm in the lowest Earth.

And the distance between their earlobes, Allahu Akbar, our earlobe and our neck is nothing compared to the distance between their earlobes, and the neck of these Angels is such that it would take a bird 700 years to cover this distance. When you ponder over this then realise that greatness is for Almighty Allah.

After the Arsh, when somebody comes and tells you, there are seventy thousand veils of noor and darkness. When you ponder over this then you will realise that greatness is for Almighty Allah.

And after all this that I’ve told you now, if somebody was supposed to tell you, Allahu Akbar, Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) has such power that He can put it to an end within a trillionth of a second. Then you will realise that the greatness is for Almighty Allah.

Then when you ponder over the day of judgement, you ponder over the verses of the Quran, that the whole Earth, Allahu Akbar, this Earth will be grasped in His hand. Can you imagine a tennis ball and playing about with it, throwing it up and down. The Earth will be grasped by the Almighty Allah on the day of judgement and these seventh Heavens, which I’ve just told you about, these Heavens will be rolled up in His right hand.

Then the Almighty Allah will say on the day of judgement “I am the King, I am the King of all kings. Where are your Kings of the Dunya today? Where is your Gorbachev? Where is your Bush? Where is your Blair?” Nobody will be able to answer. Everyone will be dumbfounded. Everybody will be speechless. Everybody’s head will be on the floor. They will all be in prostration. When you see this on the day of judgement, you will acknowledge Allahu Akbar. Allahu Akbar. Allah is the greatest and the greatness is for Almighty Allah.

Then when you think of the Hashr, when you think of the resurrection. How the Almighty Allah will bring back every single creation and every single thing that the Almighty Allah has created. How he will put it back together. When you ponder over this then you realise greatness is for Almighty Allah.

Even if someone was to drown in the ocean and millions of different fish came and ate from his flesh and nothing remained except for his bones and then the waves came and took these bones and threw them onto land, and then the bones stay there for days and decay. After a few days, when the camels come and the camels eat from here and then the camels have droppings. Then the people come and use these droppings for fuel and a fire is lit. After a while, the fire is put out and then comes the wind, and the wind takes these ashes and throws them to different corners of the world. Allahu Akbar. Come the sound of the horn, come the command of Allah and those that are in the graves, and those that died in this manner, in the eyes of Allah, they will be equal, and He will gather them exactly the same. Then they will be standing and they will be looking on. When you ponder over this then you will realise that greatness is for Almighty Allah.

Then when you ponder over the gathering, how Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) will make every living being that has ever been created, how Allah will make them gather on a white flat plane. It will be the greatest congregation ever seen. Can you imagine every man that Allah ever created will be on that plane of resurrection. Every woman that Allah ever created will be on that plane of resurrection. Every male jinn that Allah ever created will be on that plane of resurrection. Every female jinn that Allah ever created will be on that plane of resurrection. It will be the greatest congregration that will ever be seen. The humankind will number in billions, can you imagine? The Earth will be like rubber and it will be expanded and every living being will be on the plane of resurrection. The humankind will number in billions and the jinn hundreds and thousands of times more than the human kinds and they will be on the planes of resurrection. Can you imagine how many billions of people and billions of jinn will be on the plane of resurrection? And it will not come to an end.

Then the Angels of the Heavens will descend and the Angels of the first Heaven will be hundreds of more times than the human kind and the jinn kind put together. And these Angels will descend, and when the Angels are close to the dunya. Allahu Akbar. Mankind will on seeing the Angels will begin to call out Is Allah amongst you? And then you will fall in prostration. Can you imagine this? Can you visualise this? There are billions and billions of human kind, jinn kind and millions and billions of Angels descending from above and all of man kind, and everyone that Allah has ever created will be in prostration. When you ponder over this then you will know that greatness is for Almighty Allah.

This is just the beginning because after this the Angels from the second Heaven are going to descend. The Angels of the second Heaven are going to be hundreds and thousands more than the Angels of the first Heaven. Then the Angels of the third Heaven will descend and there will be hundreds and thousands of more Angels than the second and so on.

The Hadith states that every time the Angels will descend from the Heavens there will be hundreds and thousands of times more than the Angels that have already descended before them. And these Angels will be more stronger and braver from the Angels that have come before them. They will be more in number and in harshness than the Angels that have descended before them. They will be more in severity and more in rigorism, more in forcefulness. Can you imagine on that day how many Angels will descend? When you ponder over this, when you ponder over all this creation that Allah has created, then you will realise that greatness is only for the Almighty Allah alone.

And when you think that amongst these Angels there is the likes of Angel Jibraeel (عليه السلام), he is just one angel. The Hadith states that he has 600 wings, one wing is bigger than the east and west put together. And from his wings fall diamonds and emeralds and embellishments, the limits of which only Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) knows. Such an Angel that he has such strength that it is narrated that he picked up all the cities of Sayyiduna Lut (عليه السلام) on one wing, with all the people, hundreds and thousands of them on one wing. With there possessions, with their animals, he took them right to the Heaven, so close to the Heaven, that the Hadith states he took them so close to the Heavens, the Angels heard there dogs barking, the Angels heard there roosters crowing, he took them so close to the Heavens and then he threw them to the Earth.

Amongst them will be Sayyiduna Israfeel (عليه السلام), he possesses such strength that he carries the horn, one ring of the horn is so big that a Hadith states that one circle of the horn is bigger than the east and west put together. And all the souls will be inside this. Can you imagine, can you comprehend this? Millions and billions of Angels with the whole of mankind on the plane of resurrection.

When you ponder over this and when you ponder over the creation of Almighty Allah, then you will realise that Allah is the greatest and greatness is for Almighty Allah only.

After all that I have mentioned, you open the Book of Allah, and then you see the verse of the Quran that the Almighty Allah has the power to wipe out all this creation that I have mentioned in the blink of an eye. Erase it all and then can replace it all. Then when you realise this you will know that greatness is for Almighty Allah alone.

Then you open the books of Ahadiths and the Hadith that comes to mind is when Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) is speaking Himself and is saying “You will realise that the greatness is for Almighty Allah”. The Almighty Allah is saying

“Oh my servants, you will all astray except for the one I have guided. Ask me for guidance and I will guide you”.

“Oh my servants, you were all hungry except for the ones I have fed. Ask me and I will give you food.”

“Oh my servants, you were all naked except for the ones I have clothed. Ask me for clothes and I will clothe you”.

“Oh my servants, you all sin. You sin by day, you sin by night. You commit minor sins, you commit major sins. I am the Almighty Allah, I forgive all sins. Ask me for forgiveness, and I will forgive you.”

“Oh my servants, if all the creation that I ever created, the men, the women amongst you; the first, the last. The jinn kind amongst you; the first, the last. If they were to become like the most evil men amongst you, that will not decrease my kingdom or anything.”

“Oh my servants, if every one of you; the first of you, the last of you, the human kind amongst you, the jinn kind amongst you. If you all became the walis and the awliyya of Allah, and then you became the most pious man amongst you, that will not increase my kingdom or anything in any way.”

“Oh my people, if every one of you that I have ever created; the first amongst you, the last amongst you.  The human kind amongst you, the jinn kind amongst you. If you were to stand on a flat white plane and then each of you, every one of you were to ask Me for something or to beg for something, I would fulfil everyone’s request that you would ask Me of, and that will not in any way decrease of what I have.”

When Abu Idrees (رضي الله عنه) would read this Hadith of Rasool (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) he would fall flat on his knees, because this Hadith clearly suggests that greatness is for Almighty Allah. When you ponder over this, then you will realise that greatness is for Allah and Allah Almighty alone.

This is our Creator.
